ANYONE BUT THARMAN 3
Failed in Home Building.
Lacking care and respect.
If you look at the National Message by Lee Hsien Loong, the government indirectly acknowledges the failure to build a proper home for Singaporeans. Look at the headlines - affordable housing, elderly welfare and trust.
Just a month ago Tharman was in policy making. A smart and intelligent senior statesman with full wisdom and international aspiration. And now, he wants to be the president of Singapore. To make improvement from outside rather than making changes within the government. Respect for all which is most effective?
So, Tharman, as a team member, seems to run away from the responsibility and duty to cherish a Home and provide ‘extra help’ to Singaporeans. His wisdom and mind of change will not be put in good use as a president. No wonder, Ng Kok Song said he should return to the government to make a bigger contribution there.
The opposition Workers’ Party also touched on the same issue of Home. Not so much on affordability, but a home with a heart, caring, concerns and a new focus to bring back the Spirit of Singapore.
Change. If you look at it from the ‘revitalised focus’ on improving life.
No Change. If we have not lost our spirit of building a better Singapore.
Either way, Tharman, if elected, makes very little contributions to change or no change. The Elected Presidency is a wrong place for him. The government in practice, under the constitution, can still refuse his calling for ‘respect for all’. He has no right to make policy changes.
Anyone but Tharman.
