Many news media highlight the Chinese abstention but fail to point out the significance of Indian and UAE’s abstention.

Why do India and UAE abstain?

Why do they have views different from the other UNSC members?

What is the core belief of India and their balance between national interest and core belief?

In fact, both India and UAE look for a path of ‘dialogue’ and ‘inclusive and consultative process’.

This means there is another way or solution to the action on Ukraine.

Perhaps, we should look at the path of historical and cultural development in Ukraine and Russia.

The West must feel disappointment for the abstention. But they must also ask themselves whether they have misread, misjudge and miscalculate

the history and culture of Ukraine.
