Lee Hsien Loong is running out of luck. Since the passing of senior Lee, his luck is getting worse and worse - from amended presidential election, succession plan to GE2020, Covid-19 crisis.

Ageing also contributes to his lack of energy. And so, he has to have an ‘out of proportion’ number of senior ministers assisting him and he himself becomes a lame duck minister doing nothing.

Mental and psychological stress further makes him lose his energy. Why? Because there are no more smart supporters and followers who can help him fix the worsening situation.

Loneliness makes him weak. Brother and sister are against him. Senior Lee is no more around and will never wake up from the other world.

Hence, the most important lacking is there are no more smart ideas, from fixing the oppositions, bloggers, and social activists to fixing the economy, the Covid-19 crisis, the jobs market to financing the social needs.

The self proclaimed smart nation does not automatically produce smart ideas, smart politicians, smart businessmen and smart workers.

Smart nation is not all about IT but the people matter.

EBRC objectives: Stop “Out of Aljunied”, Stop SDP Breakthrough and “Negative-Asset” Ministers.

First of all, we have to congratulate the Electoral Boundaries Review Committee for creating more competitions, especially, multi-cornered competitions in the East. When making changes, EBRC aims to achieve 3 goals: To prevent “Out of Aljunied” for Workers’ Party. This is the most important objective. To prevent Singapore Democratic Party making any breakthrough in the North and Central. To look for a solution to retire “negative-asset” ministers or reduce PAP damages. From the reported claims from different political parties, we will expect multi-cornered contests not only in single constituencies but also in group representative constituencies. The PAP hopes to have a repeat of 2011 Presidential Election. Then Tony Tan won the Presidency when he got only 35% of the votes, a narrow win.However, a win is still a win.
