Running out of luck, Running out of energy, Running out of smart ideas (to fix the economy, oppositions, bloggers, and activists...). Lee Hsien Loong is a lame duck prime minister. Lee Hsien Loong is running out of luck.  Since the passing of senior Lee, his luck is getting worse and worse - from amended presidential election, succession plan to GE2020, Covid-19 crisis. Ageing also contributes to his lack of energy.  And so, he has to have an ‘out of proportion’ number of senior ministers assisting him and he himself becomes a lame duck minister doing nothing. Mental and psychological stress further makes him lose his energy.  Why? Because there are no more smart supporters and followers who can help him fix the worsening situation. Loneliness makes him weak. Brother and sister are against him. Senior Lee is no more around and will never wake up from the other world.   Hence, the most important lacking is there are no more smart ideas, from fixing the opposition...

  Crisis never helps the PAP any more. Covid-19 speeds up the fall of the PAP. Crisis is good for the ruling party.  The PAP likes it and knows how to use it.  However, the mismanagement of the crisis will cause the party dearly.  International press has given high marks to the PAP government - one of the best countries in handling the Covid-19 crisis.  This is the impression outside Singapore but locally the picture can be quite different. GE2020, under Covid-19 crisis, never helped the PAP.  Chan Chun Sing predicted it wrongly.   啊！圣淘沙！啊！圣淘沙！ 几十年的远见和规划，还是要面对‘冠病’的现实。。。 新加坡还会有圣淘沙式的远见和规划吗？即使有，好像圣淘沙这样一流的远见和规划，也必须面对残酷的新冠现实。更何况，现在和未来的行动党领导，既没有远见，也没有规划，又如何带领新加坡走出后冠病时代的挑战。 利用免费旅游消费劵，乘机游览一下圣淘沙。好多年没有到圣淘沙，再度游玩，似乎有一种往事只能回味 - 人潮不见，游客稀少。 新加坡利用几十年的时间才打造出一个圣淘沙。当年第一代领袖的远见，捉住机会，发展圣淘沙。看到新加坡的优越的地理位置，便利的交通，善于利用，一步一步把圣淘沙发展起来。 当然，圣淘沙只是当年的远见之一，国家规划的一部分。从金融，贸易，地产，地铁，接下来医药，仲裁，教育，会议中心，机场，海港等等的发展，似乎一帆风顺，一路发展，一直到现在成为世界上人均最高之一，政治人物薪金最高的国家。 圣淘沙的发展折射出，我们所做的一切，都是为人服务，都是为外人服务，尤其是有钱人。我们希望提供最好的服务，让外人在这里花钱，买房，豪赌，投资，高级消费。。。 在冠病发生前，很多中下层新加坡人吃力的认为负担不起圣淘沙的消费。因为，当新加坡人均收入越高，圣淘沙的消费就越高、向上调高。这当然也是配合国外高消费者的需求。 这是贫富不均恶化的结果。人均高，不表示每一个人的收入都增加。新加坡富人也和外国高消费者一样，可以在圣淘沙进行高级消费，买房投资。但是，中下层的人均增幅很小，就肯定花费不起。 因此，圣淘沙的发展，已经变成‘本地人的负担能力不在考虑范围内’。或许，当初的远见，构思，规划是‘全民共享’，大家都可以在经济发展中，分到一点，最少，能够做到让中下层人民到圣淘沙消费。 圣淘沙的发展，其实就是新加坡发展的缩影。尤其是李显龙出任总理以来，贫富不均愈加严重。当年，吴作栋提出瑞士水平的生活，就是想让国人，尤其是中下层人民能够到圣淘沙消费，不把圣淘沙当成一个只有外来游客和有钱人消费的地方。 曾经，李显龙甚至发出这样的伟大言论：引进10超级亿万富豪，即使加深贫富悬殊也在所不惜。 （ https://www.cnbc.com/id/100871398） 李显龙的脑袋里，就是为了为富人服务。所以，新加坡只要培养‘服务他人’的有用人。不需要企业精神，不需要做企业家，只要专心做好服务的工作，专业的服务工作。万万没有想到...
