小国的夹缝困境：在多极化的世界里，走向单一的新加坡？

世界正快速走向多极化，小国却愈发依赖对自身“独特”的自我催眠——从“小红点”的叙事到“榴莲”的防御论，我们不断强化着自身不可替代的幻觉。

然则，现实往往冷酷。无论是中文，马来文的被边缘化，还是印尼烟霾的反复侵袭，本质上都是躲不开的地缘政治课题。年轻一代或许早已遗忘，我们曾是一个立足于中、英、马三语语境的交叉枢纽；如今，英语独霸天下，其他母语与传统沦为附庸。当一种多元文化在内部渐渐演变成“英文单一文化”，我们又谈何真正的传承与地缘共存？

烟霾困境同样如此——它从来不是单靠一个国家的法案或外交口水战就能解决的。无论是跨国环境治理还是区域文化融合，小国都必须妥协于大邻国的利益与立场。

如今，外媒的战略评估与国际金融界对人工智能重塑、中国崛起的担忧，都清晰地传达出同一个信号：国际金融与地缘秩序不再由单一霸权说了算。小红点过去赖以生存的旧套路，正面临极其残酷的倒逼转型。

讽刺的是，当全球格局正加速多极化，新加坡的社会与文化却在悄然走向单一化。 这难道不是一种与时代趋势背道而驰的宿命？

当我们沉吟于“文化传承与共存”这种宏大叙事时，民间究竟还有多少真正的共鸣与情怀？

还是说，我们早已习惯了用一场场热闹非凡、浮光掠影的“龙凤呈祥”公关秀，把严肃的生存危机，包装成一场让全民麻木欢喜的嘉年华？

Is Prism Project Another Central Planning of the PAP?

There are 3 scenarios under the Prism Project#1 of Institute of Public Policy.  However, it looks more like the central scenario planning of the People’s Action Party. From the instructional menu of Prism Project Primer #2, participants were guided to a situation in 2022 and they have to imagine, within the Primer framework, to come out with 3 possible scenarios in Jun-Aug 2012.  2022. What a coincidence! Not long ago, PM Lee declared that he would like to hold the prime minister post for another 10 years. The other coincidence is the similarity between the 3 scenarios and the candidates of PE2011. EBRC objectives: Stop “Out of Aljunied”, Stop SDP Breakthrough and “Negative-Asset” Ministers.

First of all, we have to congratulate the Electoral Boundaries Review Committee for creating more competitions, especially, multi-cornered competitions in the East. When making changes, EBRC aims to achieve 3 goals: To prevent “Out of Aljunied” for Workers’ Party.  This is the most important objective. To prevent Singapore Democratic Party making any breakthrough in the North and Central.   To look for a solution to retire “negative-asset” ministers or reduce PAP damages. From the reported claims from different political parties, we will expect multi-cornered contests not only in single constituencies but also in group representative constituencies. The PAP hopes to have a repeat of 2011 Presidential Election. Then Tony Tan won the Presidency when he got only 35% of the votes, a narrow win.However, a win is still a win.
